Primacare Citywest / Dentists in the area

I will soon be working in Citywest, and I need a good bit of dental work done, so it would be really handy if I could use the Primacare Dental place that's there as it would really cut down on the amount of annual leave I need to take for appointments.

I need at least a couple of crowns, and I want to look at getting some implants / bridge(s) as well.

Has anyone used this place? Alternatively, are there any good places within a 5-10 minute drive that can do all this? My current dentist is very good, but pretty pricey too.

    Thanks in advance :)

OP, I was goign to use them to get a filing about a year ago. tbh the guy who there looked about the same age as my brother and two people came out after getting their novacane and said how he had to inject 5-7 times... I left.

Depends on what age your brother is :D
I am in my mid 30's and look about 10, its a bit silly to think that a young looking dentist is not any good. Apart from that know nothing about that clinic.

That actually made me laugh out loud. I've got a kind of babbyface aswell. Don't mean squat. In fact, some of the older guys I've seen do some downright shoddy work (not all, and don't take that as a generalisation, the vast, vast majority are excellent!).

With regards to crowns and implants, just make sure they are qualified to do them. You'll see lots of threads here about implants.

Don't pick your dentist for this specialised work based on proximity to work.

An implant and crown costs about €2500 give or take a €100 but if you get it done by someone who's not qualified it will cost you a lot more to fix.

That's good advice - I won't go based purely on the location, but if there is somewhere within 10 minutes drive (Tallaght, Rathcoole etc), it would be a bonus.

I got an implant last year with my current dentist, and it was just under €4000 all in. White fillings are €180, crowns are €1000. He's very good, but just too dear for me - especially now the PRSI relief is reduced to the basic rate (and possibly completely down the road). It suited me at the time as he's across the road from my office.
