I'm thinking of purchasing the A&K MK43 and want to know does anybody have this particular AEG or an A&K AEG in general and if so what do they think. I'd appreciate an insite anybody can give me.

I have one since last week, it's a lovely gun, excellent finish. The rof is great, adjustable.

My only gripe would be the annoying feeding mech (it uses a feed tube directly in, with an annoying non-knurled cap that's hard to screw on and off).

Apart from that, it's a lovely piece. Highly recommended.

I've seen one myself and it does look great and the feeding tube does look annoying. Where did you buy and how much if you don't mind me askin?

Had a lash of Gerrouts in MAC on sunday, its a peach.

A very hefty piece but its a step up from the 249 in my book, the adjustable rate of fire is a superb inclusion and it comes with a built in mosfet as standard.

Finally I wont have to look at M249's all the time, I can get peppered in style....

I could eat a peach for hours.

    Sorry I couldn't help it.

Retail is 360 or 380 or so, depending on where you get it.

    yup, 380 quid.

to give you an idea of the quality though, take an A&K 249, fuk it in the bin and compare to something by G&G instead. :D

it truly is a piece of art, theres some small niggles like the hop nub being a little small and stuff but their easily fixed complaints.

Agreed. The minor faults are greatly outweighed by the sheer fun you have wielding this puppy on the skirmish field. You may have to increase the size of the hop up nub to get a decent hop up effect, but once you do, the range on this gun can only be described as awesome. There have been some reports online of front end wobble, and I also had this on my m60 but tbh, Richie sorted that out in 30 seconds with some threadlock (the screws securing the front end dont seem to be very tight when you receive the gun).
Overall, the range and accuracy are better than any other support gun I have ever seen out there.
I know they can be possibly be bought cheaper online, but I don't want to take the risk of customs impounding it, and I also make a point of supporting the Irish retailers, so in my mind it was 380 well spent considering I spent that amount last year on a high end gun that just doesnt give me the same wow factor.

I bought mine on thursday and used it for first time on sunday. Great piece of kit and rate of fire is great, just all round great fun. One small complaint that someone might be able to help me with. I noticed the bb's droppin off relatively short and when adjusting the hopup didn't seem to have much affect. Any clues:confused:

gav_69 give the lads in eirsoft a call as I believe that they have some more on the way.

Jayod30 the mk43 uses the same hop chamber as the a&k m249 and apparenty has the same problem. If you have a look in the 'trouble shooting' section there are a few threads on th m249 that say how to fix it (look here - http://m.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=61510660#post61510660).

Cheers for that info, I'll get onto it and see if I can work it out. For gav_69 MIA where I got mine €360
