a caller has recently asked about the owner of the house next to mine. the name she was looking for has never lived there but does own the house.
he has lately made the house in his words "look lived in"

he has recently lost work, and lives 15 miles away up north. showing the signs of someone claiming unemployment and living outside the jurisdiction.

is there anywhere you can check who is claiming what, or who do you report this to, or should i mind my own, bearing in mind that i pay an awful lot of taxes.

You say "a caller" - to your house or on the phone? I assume you mean or suspect it was a social welfare inspector? If it was then chances are they are on to him already. Don't take any chances though, report the fraudster. Your not sticking your nose in, the social welfare depend on people like yourself to report those ripping off the system and making it worse for true claimints. Even if he has lost his job, he lives in the north, chances are he is double claiming.
