    Hi, I am looking for someone to help me.
    I have a mac laptop, it boots up but no sreen, i am looking to see if there is anyone with a mac or can help me in general to get my data from this laptop.

    Can you attach it to an external monitor and see if theres any output on to it?

    i tried that when i had an imac but it wouldn't read it for long with the firewire thingy plugged in.
    Is there any other way of doing it without taking the hdd out?
    i'm not sure, just a newbie when it comes to this stuff
