What's going on here?

Was out last week with a few friends. As soon as we got to the club, I spotted a girl (fantastic looking) and so began that ritual of eye-contact and flirty smiling.

All well and good, but every time I attempted to go over and say hello, at least one of her friends blocked my way, or took (dragged) her off to wherever girls go. At one point, 4 friends stood in a "wall" formation with their backs to me.

My cousin spotted what was happening and suggested that she could go up and ask what was going on, but I had lost heart at that stage. I am, however, still intrigued by this situation...

    Any ideas?

    She was clearly taken.

At a guess, what you saw as lots of eye contact, she probably saw as staring. If she had liked you, she wouldnt have let her friends block you, or asked them to do it in the first place - it's not really the sort of thing that 'just happens'.

Exactly. Friends or no friends, if she liked you she would have made conversation and certainly wouldn't have let her companions 'block' her. Sounds like you were reading more into it than she was, or else she's already got a bf or husband.

every girl that smiles at you doesnt mean they like you... and from the way her friends reacted she was deffo taken.... sorry lad... if a girl is single and likes you, you wont be block like that..... chin up and keep on trucking...

    Yeah, I figured the same.

That's the first time, I was ever 'blocked' though. :)
