UPC Cable supports Digital+ and Digital+ HD in most urban areas i.e. Cork, Dublin, Galway, Limerick, Waterford etc.

If you're on MMDS, i.e. receiving your service via an antenna on your roof, then Digital+ / Digital+ HD may not be available to you as the technology on the majority of the MMDS networks i.e. all of the Chorus branded ones is substantially different to UPC Digital Cable in urban areas. Their MMDS platform is using DVB-T, which is the same standard used for digital terrestrial television, so it requires totally different boxes and a totally different system manages it.

It would be technically possible for them to roll out a PVR for those MMDS networks, but it would not be the same hardware as used in cable areas.

They are rolling out DVR TO mmds networks, it is currently being tested and should be released soon according to my sources.

I don't have MMDS.. I have a regular Cable - but I cannot get HD, which isn't that big a deal, because the Basic pack only has 1 HD Channel, BBCHD, which I get free with Freesat anyway

I have digital+ since it was launched (last year) on cable, exact same time with exact same hardware, Thomson DVR? It is a fairly new NTL MMDS area ( 5 years old roughly ). Any chance of digital+ HD over this network? Probably not.
