    Hey guys,

So I got a Epi LP S a couple months ago and since then have been rather stupidly lying it on top of my amp when not using it.

Anyway, as was bound to happen, today I knocked if off when the cable was in it and as result the jack bent. I think cos of that it ****ed something in the guitar cos it's not working now. Tried a different cable too. But all I'm getting is a staticy/buzzin sound.

Anything I can do other than take it to a shop?

You could open up the control cavity on the guitar and check to see if any wires are loose at the jack. That may be the case... if it is then it's a 30second job to fix it.
