How many times have we read posts where we've just cringed at the OP's poor attempts at making a joke or simply when they've just made a quite frankly shyte point and we've had no other way to protest than with a "Fail" or a "Face-Palm"?

The world needs to know in numerical format or otherwise just how crap someone's post was and who knows it may even put a dent in the endless Thanks whoring that goes on!

This argument's been done to death. Bring in a "no thanks" button in AH would absolutely suck.
However not to censor discussion, there is currently an active feedback thread relating to thanks in AH.
