Life!

So, myself and the ever wonderful Anna Molly often find ourselves using the phrase "That's life!", in fact I think it might be becoming a catch phrase!

You know, everything is going fine and then, typically, something happens and fcuks everything up! OR something you've said/done comes back to bite you in the ass. All you can say is, "That's life!".

Back in March 2008, I told a boy I could never be with him 'cause he's younger than me. :o (It mattered at the time!) Of course, he had to become the object of all my affection and desire, only now he has moved on because I rejected him. Life, eh?!

I know it could be worse so come on, people! Enlighten me with your "That's life" stories! :)

Woke up with a sore throat and a runny nose this morning and I have a karaoke competition final on Friday that, if I win, would land me with €600.

If it gets any worse I'm screwed.

Well just very recently I asked a friend for her insight on religion in Ireland, specifically in the West of Ireland. I think deep down she is very Christian (Catholic) despite her rough exterior. She has a lot of built up agression and deep down is a bit spiritual. Anyway I asked her about it and she hasn't got back to me since. We're both back in college next month and I want to sort this problem out ASAP. I don't have her religious belief, and as a matter of fact respect all the worlds religions and am particularly drawn to the Native Americans and their beliefs. Am trying to sort this problem out right now and hope to. :( I hope I am worrying about nothing, but I really doubt it.

That's life!!! It was my fault really for asking her in the first place as it is a sensitive issue. Oh well!!! Another fcuk up by me. :(

As a 30 year old woman I have used that phrase more the older I get, perhaps not always in a negative way!

I think it's probably most frequently used in a negative way...

But I think Frank said it best:D

That's life, that's what all the people say.
    You're riding high in April,
    Shot down in May
But I know I'm gonna change that tune,
When I'm back on top, back on top in June.

I said that's life, and as funny as it may seem
    Some people get their kicks,
    Stompin' on a dream
But I don't let it, let it get me down,
'Cause this fine ol' world it keeps spinning around

    I've been a puppet, a pauper, a pirate,
    A poet, a pawn and a king.
I've been up and down and over and out
    And I know one thing:
Each time I find myself, flat on my face,
I pick myself up and get back in the race.

    That's life
    I tell ya, I can't deny it,
    I thought of quitting baby,
But my heart just ain't gonna buy it.
And if I didn't think it was worth one single try,
I'd jump right on a big bird and then I'd fly

    I've been a puppet, a pauper, a pirate,
    A poet, a pawn and a king.
I've been up and down and over and out
    And I know one thing:
Each time I find myself laying flat on my face,
I just pick myself up and get back in the race

    That's life
    That's life and I can't deny it
Many times I thought of cutting out
But my heart won't buy it
But if there's nothing shakin' come this here july
I'm gonna roll myself up in a big ball and die
    My, My

invested all my money in a business instead of a mortage.
stupid recession comes along and house prices drop but can no longer afford to get a mortage and business goes bad.

    But hey, thats life!

Started dating an older woman a couple of months ago. Was very wary of it cos I was concerned that she'd be put off by the age difference (23 vs. 29) so I decided to play it cool. Then along comes a dazzling 21 year-old (age-appropriate, ha) and I'm kinda liking her too.... So I can't decide which one I like more for weeks and am just playing it cool with both of them. So eventually, I decide that I like the older lady a good deal more and, despite the issues we might run into because of age, I wanna give it a shot. I let the 21yo down and decide to focus on Miss Twenty-Nine, who promptly tells me that she hasn't seen enough of me in the 2 months since we started dating to be hopeful of any progression in the relationship and is thus terminating our arrangement. That's life.....!

Had a fight with a good friend of mine. Haven't spoken properly in a few weeks because of it.
Got a text from her the other night, telling me she's moving to London at the end of the month and I'm invited to her going away party...

    :(
