I'm in debt to about 6 people, and trading off loans, i've been waiting 12 weeks on the dole, then on fri was asked to provide a letter saying i'd left college from the college, and evidence I was looking for work, I live with my mam, who makes no money really, it's 375 a week, when I went up they said it would be another few weeks, cause there's a few boxes there, anyone know if it will be sooner, it's hard to believe it's taking this long, i've put of the community officer, and even if I get money off him, it's not enough to get me out of trouble, feel screwed, trying to sell the last few musical instruments I know, it's sickening,

Anyone been in this situation have an estimate, think it will be much sooner? thought i'd be colllecting it tomorrow, or next week lastest, massive blow.

I'd suggest you head down to the Community Welfare Officer and apply for Supplementary Welfare Allowance.

That way at least you can start paying off what you owe to people.

The waiting periods are crazy at the moment - nobody here can say how long you will be waiting - every office is different. If you want an estimate go into your local office and check with them. In the meantime do what Xiney advised.
