Prob not posting in the right area, so please let me know if not.

Looking to buy 2 mountain bikes, ladies and gents.
Nothing fancy, just something to get me and the hubby doing a bit of excercise.
Looking to spend around 80euro per bike.

    Thanks.

You might get something 2nd hand for that kind of cash but chances are it'll be a dog and need a fair bit of work. Ya may want to up that budget...

Edit: have a look at adverts.ie or buyandsell.ie. If you're outside Dublin there's a better chance of getting something for decent value that's not trashed.

You'll probably get better advice at the cycling forum. Under the Sports section

If your limit is really only €80 I would get either a set of weights, gymnastic rings or a pair of decent runners. A €80 bike will not last pissing time. I would not spend less than €300-400 on a new bike, anything less is a false economy. Check out the cycle to work scheme too.

It's really not enough for a bike. €300-400 is entry level for something half-decent.

Honestly an entry-level pair of Asics would be a better bet if that is your budget.

There's ANOTHER bicycle going free in the Dublin area,
keep a lookout for number two in the freebies section of buy & sell.

An eighty euro budget will go some ways to fixing most stuff,
ask your local bike shop for a quote, then haggle.
