Picked up a nice Golf GTI this weekend, a 1989 8v model. Smashing car.

I'm looking for a few bits and pieces... Does anyone have/know of any Mk2 GTIs for parts?

    What does yours need?:D
Mine's driving fine... Needs the plastic trim on the outseide of both the front doors... A LHS window winder motor.... Oh and the little plastic centre cap is missing off on of the alloys...
I think that pretty much sums it up.

    Pics to follow.

Well I'm in the middle of getting mine ready for a seriously upgraded engine in.

The outside trim unfortunately sells for a bloody fortune, I don't have any.

Same with the winder motors. Check the classifieds on Vagdrivers.net

    Looking forward to the photos.
I had a 1986 one a few years and it was a lot of fun

She looks nice. Left hooker too. The VRT on them is ridiculous though :(

Oh excellent. I have plans to drive across Europe in my own when I finally finish it. But she's getting there now.
