He is making a major annoucement this week on Impact

What could it be? - retirement, taking time off, joining MEM, leaving TNA for WWE :D

Considering he was off the card for the last TNA PPV and is not on the list of TNA superstars touring UK & Ireland later in the year i assume he is taking some time off

He's not on that tour as his wife is pregnant and the date she's due falls during the Germany/Ireland tour. I'd say it'll be something like he'll retire if he doesn't win the TNA title by Bound For Glory.

Exactly. Styles will be the TNA World Champion at BFG.

It better not be a retirement or break. Jarrett gone without word on his future, Angle in trouble, Sting looking at retirement. If AJ looks to leave the company is screwed. That's nearly their entire main event, the ones that can still move at least.

On this week's Impact AJ styles came to the ring to make a huge announcement. He then cut a good heartfelt promo that he wanted out of TNA and the wrestling business in order to see his kids grow up.

Sting then came down, and cut another good promo, basically telling Styles that he's the future, the chosen one, and if he quits he's a loser.

At the end Styles & Sting leave the ring together.

Could we be seeing a build up to match between Styles and Sting??????

I hate theway TNA have started describing Styles and Joe etc as the future. Styles is the most accomplished champion in TNA and has just been pushed to the background since all the ex WWE guys began showing up.

Firstly he plays Christians lackey , then Angles...then to top it all off when Jarrett wanted him to lead the team at Lockdown he turned down the chance because he wasn't up to it and had not accomplished anything. Way to screw up your biggest talent.
BTW he returned at the next set of tapings.

Wishful thinking, but I'd like to see Sting finish out in the WWE in a 3 month stint. Rumble to Mania as The Undertaker's opponent.

It's been talked about as a dream match from about 1997 onwards. Two of the biggest stars of the 90's, both were loyal cornerstones of their respective companies and both had a dark gimmick.

I think if WWE brought in Sting to finish his career at Wrestlemania, it would generate a good bit of interest.

It would, but I doubt it'll happen. I doubt they'd let Sting break the streak, and I doubt Sting would go to the WWE just to lose to Taker.

To be fair, being Christian's lackey was one of the most important part's of AJ's career as it was then when he learned how to play a character, grew a personality and learned how to cut a promo. Watch AJ's promo this week on iMPACT!, if he never had that period with Chrisitan he would never have been able to cut that promo.

It wouldn't just be to lose though. He could add 2 more milestones to his long career, wrestled for WWE, and wrestled on the biggest show of them all, Wrestlemania. A big fat pay off wouldn't hurt either.

    But yes, it is unlikely.
