there is a fair amount of a&k parts out there for the m249 just searching in any of the main china soft retailers will give you a healthy list

    http://www.rsov.com/index.php?target=products&mode=search&subcats=Y&type=extended&avail=Y&pshort=Y&pfull=Y&pname=Y&pkeywords=Y&cid=0&q=m249&x=0&y=0

    http://www.ebairsoft.com/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=m249&inc_subcat=1&search_in_description=1&x=0&y=0

the clone ris rails is becoming a little scarce on the ground but still about

the m249 stock as supplied in the us would be using a spring at that rating out of the box, so you friends question is a bit irrelevant

lol., your friend would be better off asking on a forum where the use of such springs is legal.

as for the gun, it already has a bipod on it, you can get a real steel sling on ebay for little money and with a mag capacity of 4000 you wont be needing a spare magazine. regular M4 mags can be used though incase you find yourself stuck.

He brought it in eirisoft and then he sent it to america in the post when he moved there so its about 320fps and for the us thats nothing!

    I thought it was 2500
and any ways it would be handy and more realistic if you carryed around more then one mag and it cool changing mags and not having to reload (saves time lol)

The bipod that comes with the m249 is pot metal and will break soon!

I've never seen one break. I've seen the carry handle go but thats down to the way its bolted together.

Some of the youtube reviews have broken ones but i can already see the two studes that hold the bipod open are already wearing away

Unless you're doing something very odd to that bipod, it'll last you longer than you think. I've had an A&K M249 for I don't know how long, 18 months at least, and it's still perfect.
Why need a replacement feed tray? That part doesn't even come under any stress?

Also, if you need to carry 5k rounds into a game and reload during it, you're probably not grasping the concept of fire-and-manoeuvre too well. In which case, I'd be more concerned about investing in some extra batteries and a few spare motors.

The whole friend thing sounds so dodgy to me... But yeah definitely invest in a good quality sling, these bastards are heavy as you may have noticed lol

    I have the A&K 249 Para.
Classic Army do a Replacement Parts pack for the 249 that includes Steel bipod mount and support etc. The A&K parts felt like cheap lightweight alloy of some sort when I replaced mine, the bipod mount studs had rounded, making it useless until I changed the bits.
I use an M4 metal carry handle for lugging my m249 around.
You should look at this also :

Particularly the hop and the boxmag feed comments.
After doing these modifications and grinding out the hop chamber feed, I fitted a 6.03 Madbull barrel, Mine seems to be ok now.
It needs plenty of silicon oil and lots of TLC though.
    Good luck.

Which is down to collisions or equally rough behavior.

A 249 is not a rifle. If you are deploying the legs you are meant to be staying put for a while, not using them as a foregrip!

Ah, I get you. That's not the feed tray, that's the top breach cover. The feed tray is the part that would accept the rounds in a real one (or, indeed, the dummy rounds in this one).

The cover you want is only available for the Para, and A&K don't do spares so you might have to look at making one yourself, which is actually rather easy and very cheap.
