Hello, just looking for your opinion because you are all clearly alot more knowledgeable than me when it comes to bikes.

I haven't cycled in years and would really like to get something to commute to work and go to the shops, nothing too heavy duty.

I probably sound sad but i would really like a pink bike and i LOVE the look of this one

Is there anything particularly bad about this bike that you can see from its description? will it fall apart in a few months? or does it look like a good choice. i do not want something expensive because i am fairly poor right now!

Also i am not getting it from Ebay i am going to buy it in Joe Daly's in Dundrum, they stock the exact same one there.

Thanks in advance for your help and advice!

It doesn't look great to be honest. If you upped your budget to around €350 area you would get something much better. You might have to compromise on the pink but maybe better to get something that rides well? Having said that if you are buying it from Joe Daly's at least you can bring it back if something goes wrong. The bike may work OK for light use.

This would be better but maybe a bit out of your price range :)

Not a suitable commuting bike. But as stated, if you are commuting you would be better served upping the budget, as you will rack up the miles, and the bike linked will not last a year without spending more than the initial outlay on service. Still works out cheaper than bussing it a year though:D

I don't care how fast they are ... that's 2 horribly ugly bicycles and 1 horribly ugly plane.

    You might like this one:

Someone on here could tell you were they can be bought (Pashley Bikes anyone?).

oooooh i really like that Pashley one! but i bet its fairly expensive. the other two bikes suggested, well.... they look a bit hardcore! but i really do appreciate the suggestions.

so in terms of the bike i first picked out though, people think its not a great buy?

i thought that maybe cause its in Joe Daly's it wouldn't be that bad, or is my sense of trust in the shop a bit wrong?

Joe Daly's is very reputable and is held in high regard on the forum.
