    Quick question

Anyone have any ideas as to the mpg for a 3.0d touring 2003 model with 90k odd miles,

    Currently I have a 00 2.0l petrol with combined mpg approx 29.

Have been able to google any good sites for mpg of used cars.

    Cheers

Is it going to be an auto or manual? Big difference in fuel consumption between the two. This site should help, and this site converts to mpg.

I have a 525d Touring and currently get around 38mpg average.

That seems very small Kuato, I would have been expecting a combined cycle of nearly 40 mpg with long driving in the mid 40s.

    Am I completly wrong.

Long jorneys crusing you will probably get nearer 40mpg but i do most of my driving in traffic hence what the car computer is telling me.

...afraid so - do remember it's a 3 litre car. You can't have your loaf and eat it. Look at this way........it's better than a 3-litre petrol.......which is the idea of it.

Friend of mine had a 525d Touring and got 35-38mpg out of it - nearly all town driving tbh.

I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”

ok then second option of an 04 320d touring looks like the better option then.

Smaller interior, no multi function s/w or 6 cd changer but less road tax and much improved mpg.

What is a 320d doing to the gallon?
