I'd ask the ebay seller tbh. Or email Snap-On.

I think that they will repair stuff if possible rather than replace it. I could be wrong though.

I'd be wary of buying expensive stuff like that off ebay unless the seller was a power seller who'd sold loads before. Way too much fake stuff on ebay.

never seen fake snap-on tools, but can see how that would be a money maker,I'd be more concerned about buyin stolen goods cos a lot of tools get robbed and no serial no's except on certain things like tool boxes and air tools etc. but who keeps a record of them, not me anyway.I'd recognise my stuff by the strategicly placed marks/damage picked up over the years:rolleyes:

    are you certain of this?

I thought the the warranty was non transferrable so any claims must be made though the dealer who initially purchased from snap on in the first place.

maybe they changed their policy in recent years.

Snap-On tools are way overpriced for what they are(except for the Tool boxes which are the best out there) they were always sold on the strength of their life-time warranty but now even Draper offer life time warranty on their Expert range of tools, if you are after premium tools but at lower price try Facom, Mac-Tools or Bahco(part of the Snap-On group)

snap-on have always repaired or replaced any tools I had problems with, irrelevant where they were bought, and you pay for the service as well as the tool,if I'm stuck for a tool or something breaks,he's only a phone call away and has gotten me tools when I've been badly stuck,
excellent value for money if you ask me.I've also have britool, facom, draper, teng, hazet, dargan, beta tools and a few other brands and none can deliver the service snap-on does

draper expert was always limited lifetime warranty

dont get much these days(buyin fek all tools),but used to get anywhere from 10-30% but that depends how much your spendin, instead of discount I'd take a set of pliers or something thats on special on the day.don't even want to think what I've spent on tools:rolleyes:,seemed like I used to spend €200 a week at one stage years ago but used to do nixers too, things change:)
