    Hello all,

I am considering the purchase of a Technomate HD Combo receiver. Can anyone tell me if

    1) the USB2 connection referred to can be connected to the type of external hard drive used with a computer and if any extra software is required?

    2) this receiver has MPEG-4. Does this mean that it is capable of receiving RTE DTT dignala?

    Thanks for any replies.

No extra software is required, although you may need to have the HDD formatted FAT32 rather than NTFS. I have the 5200 model with a Fat32 WD passport drive – works prefect. Check out the technomate site for details of How to Format a Hard Disc HDD

    Thanks for the info steamboat.

I printed out Technomate's instructions on formatting a USB HDD for Technomate HD models which will be useful to me.
