I read undergraduates are able to avoid them - does this go for all years from here on in so long as you don't change course or have to repeat the year?

I heard it effects everyone, regardless if your already in college.

Are you on about how if you are eligible for the grant you get the fees refunded?

The government currently funds tuition for all Irish 3rd level undergraduate students in public 3rd level institutions.

The only exceptions to this are:
-Where you have already completed another undergraduate course.
-Where you are repeating a year.
-Where you have switched course. In this case you must pay for the years you have completed in the previous course.
