Kickstands

    At the risk of raising eurohackles, does anyone know anything about kickstands - as in, which kind is best, which ones to avoid, where to get them etc.? The usual places (CRC, Wiggle, PBK) don't seem to sell them.

    I'm going touring in Germany/Austria in a few weeks and reckon it's about time I got away from the ah-sure-just-lean-it-against-the-hedge approach...

    Hmmm...not sure I'd be trusting a bike loaded for touring to a kickstand. But if you insist:

    SJS Cycles

    I think Pletscher are supposed to be decent.

    I'll be using rear panniers and a handlebar bag, no front panniers, so it won't be as heavy as it might be. Reckon it'll be fine. Cheers for the link.

    Yeah Pletscher generally tend to come out best, from what I read. There's a two-legged version that seems to be quite popular.
