Lease question...

    When tenants are signing a lease, does the landlord who is also signing the lease have to be present in order to make the lease binding?

    Any general commentary around this issue also welcome...:)

    Simple answer is no.

    Leases can be made by deeds (which require signing, and delivering),

    or by simple written contract

    no requirement for both parties to sign cotemperaneously or in each other's presence.
