Car Light Alignment done but failed NCT!

I did the alignment of my car lights on Monday as I was told by the garage that it wasn't right. I paid over 50 euros to get it done and today the car fails the NCT due to the bad alignment on the side that the garage told me they did the work on. The car is only a 2005 model so I didn't think it needed a light alignment as all lights were working fine but as they garage said it needed it, I just paid and got it done. Now it looks like they actually damaged the lights of the car instead of correcting it!

What should I do now? I paid to get something done and have a receipt for that specific work and then the car fails, surely the garage in question should be responsible? Why do I have to pay for a retest when I already paid to correct this in the first place!

bring the nct documentation to the garage and show them the failure and demand it re-checked and payment for the NCT retest
