Best road bike for under a grand???

Hi all, Im after some advice. I bought a Giant scr4 road bike about a year ago simply to get fit. I think I paid around 450-500 at the time. Having never sat on a better bike it seems fine to me and I do about 35 miles a day on it. My brother now wants to buy this bike off me for 200 and he will aply for the government…

Hi all,

Im after some advice.

I bought a Giant scr4 road bike about a year ago simply to get fit. I think I paid around 450-500 at the time. Having never sat on a better bike it seems fine to me and I do about 35 miles a day on it. My brother now wants to buy this bike off me for 200 and he will aply for the government half price for a bike scheme that you cycle to work, on my behalf. So basically a bike that costs 1000 will end up only costing me 300 if you know what I mean.

So, Im after opinions as to what is the best road bike under a grand and where might be the best place to buy it????
