    Hey Guys,

Just wondering if anyone would be able to give me a ballpark amount for a reconditioned engine for a BMW 316 '98? It looks like I might need one but not sure how much I am looking at.

    Thanks.

I know the engines from E30's go from 400-800, older engine so might be cheaper. The M50/52 from the E36 3 series are around 800 secondhand.

Are you looking for reconditioned or a used engine? Same engine or something with a little more poke to push that 316 along?

For why you need a new engine?

These units are bullet proof and up to 250k minimum if maintained regularly. What happened?
