i just got a brand new macbook and the only things ive installed are bittorrent firefox and microsoft office,
ive also added 8 gigs worth of movies and downloaded the free apple loops for garage band that i think were only about 2 gigs

how come in finder it says that ive only got 106 gigs free out of 149

    is that right?

does all the stuff that comes with the computer really take up 30gigs?

if so is there anything big and unnecessary that i can delete?

thanks in advance for any help
