I want to set up an online community for our residence association and when I looked before quiknets.com was suggested.

It seems to be off the air so can anyone suggest something similar please.
    Thanks

What about a Facebook account? Various communities have those - Skerries comes to mind.

Play with ning.com - it's a DIY hosted social network.

Could be what you're looking for.

Looked interesting on the face of it.
The moderators are determined by the site owners and not by the residents of a particular estate so there can be a disconnect.

You could set up a closed group on Facebook. You could ask potential members to supply their real world address or have some sort of other verification process.
