It's okay. Greens are rock hard, usually, presumably because nobody would repair their pitch marks, although that's a guess. A few good holes. Have not played it in many years, though, so maybe it has changed.

Sorry if this sounds like a stupid question but what is the difference between a Par 3 course and a P&P course?

Is it a case that a Par 3 course will be longer in length and similar to Par 3's on a standard course? Whereas a P&P is made of of very short holes where only a pw or less is needed?

If so - what clubs do you guys bring with you on the Par 3 course???

i'v played it a few times, the clubs i'd normally use would be 5,7 and 9 irons, a pitching wedge and a putter. it's a good bit longer than a P&P course, the longest is about 200 yards

From what I remember stepaside par 3 is quite hilly and poor drainage. An ok course at best.

In most par 3 courses a pw is sufficient enough for most holes. average holes size would be around 110 yards. In a pitch and putt course the max size of a hole would be around 110 yards.

Apologies, I didn't read the question carefully enough. I was referring to the public golf course, rather than the par 3 one.

I actually though the par 3 was turned into a housing estate. There's another one, though, the Barrow?

Played the Par 3 a few weeks back. Its grand, not a bad place to play if you're just starting the game.

There's one hole about 200 yards and that's the longest. Most around 100-150.
