What is the SRAM Rival groupset like? I have never had SRAM before but will have in a few weeks. To change gear u have to click twice as opposed to once with Shimano, this right? This a pain, or something u get used to? The RIval roughly equal to the 105?

    Cheers,
    D

Rival is more like Ultegra or even Dura Ace 7800 in terms of weight. I have it on my training bike, its not bad looking and works well. The double tap is a bit fiddly for me, its a bit slower to get into an easier gear, but thats because I reckon I am just not used to it. Seems to work for Alberto and the boys after all.

Can't go wrong anyway, no better bang for your buck I reckon. I still prefer my Dura Ace although thats probably because I am just comfortable with it..

I've used Campag Centaur, Shimano Tiagra and SRAM Red/Rival on various bikes. I prefer the SRAM shifting action out of all of them - just a tiny movement required to shift. Only takes a few minutes to get used to.

Have had rival on my new bike for the last 2 months. Find it great. Very smooth. Much more intuitive than shim. Would consider it more equivalent to ultegra
