Returning from a sprained ankle

    Hey guys as the title says i play soccer and i also like to run,but i sprained my ankle Monday night!!But i can put some weight on it today just wondering what should my route back to fitness be??And how long should i leave it before returning to soccer and running also should i start cycling soon:D:D:D:D

    Im shocked i got no reply to this:eek:?i thought ankle sprains were very common anyways its been 7 day and still cant walk properly but managed a 7mile cycle yesterday wasn't to bad at all was hoping to be back for my match tomorrow but a bit to optimistic i guess!!!So next tuesday i have a match so please if there is a god i will be back for that

    Don't take this as advice or a guideline, however the last two sprained ankles I've had I was back running in 10 days and football after 14 days.

    I'd gently test the ankle before trying anything too vigorous.

    Probably no response because no1 can diagnose over the internet & its against the forum rules to give out medical advice.This thread will probably be locked & the advice you'll get is go see a trained physician.
    You're also on the internet so here might be a good start ;)

    Ah but iv read all the internet has to say (on this matter) i just wanted your opinions is all on how ye have came back:D

    Got a letter of the hospital today saying on further review of my xrays there appears to a problem eh yeah was wondering why it was still impossible to run on after so long

    Turns out it was a fracture in my 3rd metatarsal
