Hey does anybody know what the registration fee is going to be this year? I know it was announced in the budget it can be anything up to €1600 (and knowing DCU they'll take full advantage of this!) but are there any official figures yet?
On my portal page when you go to pay fees, the figure still stands at €938 which is the same as last year but i seriously doubt they'll leave it the same.. It'd be nice if they did though! :)

If you qualify for a grant, the the total fees is €38, if you've applied and not been approved yet, you pay €1538, but once you approved you get that back, if you've no grant, you pay the full €1538

Does anyone else think this is a shocking increase?

It was a shock last October ;) It is ridiculous though, can't wait to vote the FFers out (pun intended).

be glad we're still getting "free" fees. it could be €2000 extra. UCD is like €1700

plus, when you look at it, and it is entirely possible that dcu made a huge clerical error, but I paid the €936 last year and as i said i got all but the €36 student levy back

Not really, you're paying 1,600 for a year at a University. It's for nothing.
