I wonder can anyone advise me please. I Bought a car a couple of months ago 03 nissan and got a 3 months warrenty on it. Since i bought the car the starting motor has had to be fixed, the hand break is slipping the tires have to be replaced and thats just the start. I tried talking to the garage when my tires where needing to be replaced and one of the mechancanics became abusive to me a called me a liar. No my starter motor is going again. Its really stressful and i was onto the garage again this morning and the fobbed me off. I am wondering do i have any case to persue this in the small cliams or anything like that. I am really stressed out and dont know what to do. I paid nearly 5000 for this car only a few months ago....anyone with sound advice ??? i would be really grateful...thanks ..and please excuse the spelling mistakes....

Just tighten the handbrake yourself. Tyres wear out naturally and are not covered by warrenty. Chase them for fixing/replacing the starter motor as looks like the last job was unsatisfactory

Ah tyres can blow at any stage. You could have gone over a nail or glass as another poster said.
Regarding them being "dodgy" and the garage replacing them - the garage would be under no obligation to change them so long as the tread was within legal limits. They'd only replace them if you insisted on this being done as part of the sales agreement.

You wont be helping the situation by being at them too often. No way should you be in complaining about the tyres. The time of purchase was when you should have bargained with them for 4 tyres. Starter motor, yes, they should surely have fixed that for you.

In most cases the warranty is on engine and gearbox only.
The hand brake and the tyres are wear and tear items.

You are entitled to have the starter motor fixed 'permanently'. That means the fix has to last for the warranty period of the new part. One year in most cases.

    *as far as I know
