Can anyone offer advice on any exercises that might help to shed inches from legs?!!

I don't want to do things that will end up bulking up my legs, and I'd prefer if they were thinner than they are now

Been lifting weights regularly now for over 2 years and my legs haven't ballooned or anything..

It's like that old 'argument' that people have against running, it'll make your legs look fatter..

    RIDICULOUS

Running. I've never seen a distance runner with chunky legs (or chunky anything for that matter).

I'm female, weight train 4 times a week and I have large muscular thighs (shock). I have heard that unilateral exercises are better (ie lunges, tri-lunges, single leg squat, etc) and maybe try high intensity, low rep.

Don't forget that you need muscle to burn the fat.

I love how people think as soon as you start doing any sort of weights, magically you'll resemble Ronnie Coleman. :pac:

What is your BF % now? If its high then you will want to do intensive cardio to lose Bodyfat which in turn will eventually come off your legs.

I think my % is 23 - is that high? I don't know if thats too high? I know its not low anyway!!

Thanks for the advice all!! I might try running and see how that goes for a while!

I'm about 20.5% BF and not happy with my legs too. and I know what's wrong with them: they're just fat! fat on upper inner thigh makes them look massive. and it's all back to diet and I'm sitting at pc sipping beer now :(

There's biological reasons for women having fat on their upper inner thigh...

Just out of interest, what is measurement of your thighs? a lot of people think their thighs are big when they're actually not.

59cm or about 23inches at the thickest point. it went up 3cm in last two months because I put few kg on (blame holidays). I imagine to make them smaller I should be doing high reps light weight exersices but not much I can do with dodgy knee (blame deadlifts).
and an illustration to back me up:

If they're your legs I think you should be very happy with yourself tbh.

Do you honestly believe your legs and arse are too big?

It's amazing (and really sad) just how warped a person's perception of themself can be.

You don't even have an arse. Just legs that extend to your back.

I have an arse like that. :( Damn genetics.

I think you're legs look fine j@utis...23 inches is about average for women, very few women get much smaller than that...while still having good muscle bulk. I'm a long distance runner and have very little fat on my thigh and I'm 22 inches at last measurement about a month and a half ago.
