Never been, but I hear it is a decent spot. If you are looking for tourney info, they supplied up to date stuff for the tourney sticky a while back, so that should all be good. I think the main sticking point could be numbers, but I really have zero idea what they would be like. Maybe Tar Aldarion or HIVEindhoven might be of more use to you, as I believe they live (or have in the recent past anyhow) in the Sligo area.

Bad state of affairs when a Wexford man is bored in Sligo

Shows how bad the place has gotten:o:rolleyes:

One of the lads who runs it is on here with the user name "AdelaideCasino"

Have heard its decent, gonna start going this month some time

If your stuck for things to do, Sligo Rovers Derry in the cup this weekend might be good

Furey's is a good pub when it gets a crowd, Shoot the Crows is a decent spot and all
Although what with cheap booze from the north most of the town seem to be staying in rather than going out in these hard financial etc etc etc

btw anyone who thinks staying in is the new going out was going to the wrong place's

    Hi Richie

It's a very nice Casino near to Tesco just walk across the car park to Adelaide st.

Comfy chairs, good dealers - the only issue is the number of players but that may well have improved. The standard of play varies as it does in all clubs, but you will be made very welcome.

    I have no hesitation recommending.

i used to go there regularly in 07 and 08 but theres just no crowd in it anymore, its a nice place and the staff are good but theres only a handfull of regulars who play now.

also the game of choice in there is one round of nlhe and pl omaha the next(1/2 or 2/4)

Nice staff, and owners are really good guys.

Games are dead in the summer pretty much though. The game is just 1/2NL at the moment, but it doesn't run every night. I'd imagine it will on a Friday night though.

I'd definitely go for a few beers and watch the golf though, thats what I'm planning to do down here all day.

Took a trip in here tonight, nice place, dealers were pretty good, tables cards and chips were spot on and the chairs were the comfyest poker chairs I've ever sat in.

Only 10 for the tournament so I decided I wasn't gonna hang around ( had already payed otherwise I would just not bothered) Sat and just played every pot and for the hour I was there I got fantastic entertainment just observing.

Table was a mix if four young guys, one if which when the decision was on him gave everyone a MR T 'i pity the fool stare' and then min raised, I saw this four times and 3 of the 4 times he gave up on the turn to a smaller bet than on the flop. One of the others never said a word but woke up with AK a t least twice a round.

To my left was a older lady who was really sweet but everytime someone put in a bet she would say ' hmm small to middle pair is it' then fold cause she didn't want to go racing. When ever a four flush or four to a straight apperaed on board she too to giggling and laughing, can't imagine what would hve happened had four to a straight flush popped up.

Next to her was another middle aged guy, nice guy very friendly, got aces back to back, min raised and got clobbered both times, then raised 8bb with 88 and AJ.

And then in mp on the table we had the sterotypical local who is in every night playing every event. He was able to comment on every hand, spurt pot odds, do one chip trick and inexplicably flopped two pair in every hand he folded. He also gave the table a good rap every time someone stole the blinds.

All in all I enjoyed it and I'd go there again if I ever find my way to Sligo again

am a reg there and whilst the tornies have been down over summer they still hit the 30s on a monday night for the 25 f/o,

also the 1st friday o month 150 f/o is a great game with real good structure and 20k startin stax and usually gets 30+ runners.

the staff and owners are real sound and the place is looking savage since they recently done it up;.

learned to play live there and its a great training ground particularly when the older regs come out of the woodwork for the bigger buyins, always a friendly game yet the poker is taken seriously.

Was up in sligo yesterday as im going into first year in the I.T and I had to check out the casino which I was very impressed with. There seems to be a very friendly atmosphere and the chap who we were talking to was very welcoming and informative, and them poker seats look very comfortable indeed! looking forward to playing a few tourneys there.:)
