Is there anyone selling these in Ireland or do you have to import? I saw some advertised in Hong Kong but wonder about the legalities and all that.

The would have to all metal and marked and GBB cos I'm a fussy billox like that. See my previous thread on my P226.

Yep! got a metal bodied GBB M4 off one of the Irish retailers as did many others.
I just need to pimp it next time I have cash. I want to get OD coloured grips/guard/stock.

Lovely to fire, I've yet to get spare mags though.

The one Tony sells is the AGM, havent seen the new JG one yet but that should be a bit cheaper. it'll be plastic though and from what ive seen of the Western Arms one i wouldnt be crazy about a plastic GBBr really.
theres also a KJW out there although there might be some problems with compatability of upgrade parts. dboys are said to be releasing one aswell, which might be the "ACM" one that is on RSOV at the moment but cant really be sure of that.

I like to call mine "The Grin Gun" , just try to fire it without grinning.

Aren't many of these shooting a little hot for Irish regulations even when in stock configuration (especially in conjunction with propane, used by a large number of Airsofters over here)? Its worth bearing that in mind when importing from outside the Irish market.

That said, there have been aftermarket parts released for both the WE & WA blowback systems that allow you to adjust the FPS output.

Apologies if I'm coming off as alarmist to any users or prospective buyers, but I'd just hate to see people getting their airsoft orders confiscated by customs, that's one of the reasons I'm holding off buying a GBBR until the Japan spec KJW/ TK M4-a-like gets released.

The AGM and WA M4s sold here are fine and in a month or two noboday can import anything so its a non issue really. Besides they are ment to run on 134a unless you get mags that can handle the pressure of green and propane, the mags that come with them start to leak and blow seals if you try to use anything other than 134a.

The Western Arms Gbbr was designed for the japanese market and only for 134a, most of the clones are copying the samwe design and are only suitable for use with 134a.
you can get some ratach parts to use propane/green gas while being under 1J but the FPS isnt the only reason why you should be using 134, the green will wear the bolt face and catch out pretty rapidly and the impacting causes the hopup unit to shatter on some of them.

Thanks for the info. I check all the leads out. Now it's just a case of figuring out which one to buy.

I got an RA Tech NPAS bolt for mine and it allows you to adjust the FPS, plus it's all metal so you can use anything up to propane on it with no worries about the bolt. The hop-up goes a bit mental if it's firing above 315 fps though. On the AGM ones the part you need to worry most about is the white nylon plastic internal part of the bolt, mine just shattered after a few goes on green gas. Even with the RA tech bolt the AGM mags are still a problem when loaded with Green or Propane, some of them work, but one of mine has blown its seals, I reckon I'm running on borrowed time with the rest of them, but sure might as well have some fun while I save up for RA tech mags.
