Currently on the 745 Dart from Bayside to Bray, the driver has the heat on full, every single window on the train has been opened by passengers so they maintain consciousness. Is passenger comfort or energy conservation looked at in Dart school at all?

I took a train in Morocco, same thing, AC was broken, the carrages with opening windows were packed. Carrages with non opening windows are rubbish, I would rather put up with that little exrtra noise :)

there is a problem with the heating, heating is set at a temperature and it maintains that temperature, the driver cant make it hotter or colder. all he can do is turn it on and the one button does all heating and ventilation
