another grant question!

hope someone can help me here, cause i'm thoroughly confused!

i was studying for a degree in trinity a few years ago (started in 2003), and i completed 3 years successfully. i then went off books for a year, and due to personal and family issues did not return to my final year. So last time i was actually attending lectures was the academic year 2005/06.

i have applied to return this year to complete the degree, but as i have been out of college 3 years, and the course has changed a bit they said its ok if i repeat 3rd year (even though it was completed succcesfully last time).

i hve just turned 25 and no longer live at home. i have been claiming jobseeker's benefit for nearly 3 months now.

i know i will have to pay my fees for the year, but is there any chance i would be eligible for a grant of some sort for the year? don't know if i'll be able to afford going back without some sort of financial income!

    thanks!

Hi unfortunatly, I dont think you are eligible as you are repeating the year. If you went into fourth year you might be able to get the grant depending on circumstances.
