    Hi all

I got the passenger side doors of my car scratched the other day,no dents or anything, just scraping(Not my fault). I went to Opel and they want 50 euro just to quote me, which I get refunded assuming I want to pay the price they quote otherwise I lose my 50 euro. Blackmail or what!!!

Anyways my question is this, does anyone know anywhere I can go in around the Swords area for a quote and some reliable workmanship.

    Thanks
    John

Why are you going to opel at all, they don't fix bodywork.

They sub it out to a bodyshop and charge for the privalage, do whoever hit you a favour and bring it to a good bodyshop. Ask on here for recommendations in your area.

I have no intention of bringing it to opel, that was just my starting point if you like.
Like you say I am doing to guy who scraped me a favour, as he was good enough not to do a runner as it happened in a car park.

Opel Airside - It's a bloody crime for a quote!

    My area is Swords, Dublin

Opel Airside... ah yes, those guys. They charged my dad €300 for a basic service. I wasn't sure who to be more annoyed at, him or Opel

well dont go to S?""£$ns bodyshop near bradys. Didnt do a great job on my car at all when i had to bring it there. If its not too far to ashtown, near the navan rd take it to Metro. heard nothing but the best about them. quite reasonable too.

Would it be suitable for a SMART repair?

    Fair play to him.

Gregg Martin Crash Repair are good, not cheap but good. They're in Kilbarrack Ind. Est. Its handy as its on the dart line etc.

Smart repair can be carried out on small areas and is most suitable for repairs to bumper corners or little dents. No good if the repair will need a large panel painted to blend in.
The smart repair guys can come to you in their van which carries all the kit he needs. He can do paintless repairs too by pushing out dents. They can mix most paint colours on the spot but again, only really suitable for smallish areas of damage.
