    Hi all.

Currently i own a HP Pavillion DV9000, its nearly 3 years old and its been through some horrors.

For one i cant close it because the hinge is fecked and it gets incredibly hot also the battery isnt worth a dam. :(

So ive decided to upgrade myself to a new macbook pro 15".
I love the look and got to play around with one for a few months.

I was going to get the applecare because i thought it covered accidental damage and now its become apparent that it does not.

So, is it really worth the €350?
Or alternatively is there any insurance companies in Ireland that do cover laptops for accidental damage?
And i dont own a home so i'm not covered that way.

I know some stores do accidental damage cover (pc world, harvey, DID etc) but how reliable are they?

    Any help would be brilliant!
    Thanks guys.
    :)

I got it. Am glad. It's international as well (on Apple notebooks) unlike other products. Wouldn't want any non-Apple business "repairing" an Apple notebook in all honesty. Accidental damage is quite a thorny issue!

There are some legit AppleCare sellers on eBay. Check their ratings. Then it should just be a matter of getting the ID associated with your serial number.
