    you'll probably have to go to the UK for this.

    Would be a hell of a lot of fun I would imagine.

    OP what do you mean by 'stunt driving'? You could be talking about how to start and stop a skid or driving on two wheels - there's world of difference and both of them could be called 'stunt driving' to the uninitiated.

    You're going to find it hard in Ireland to get what you're looking for. I recently did MINI driver training at Silverstone, and it was superb fun - they do it in Munich much more regularly, and flights there are for half nothing. You could go, use one of their cars, and learn lots about track driving, stunts, and safety too - like controlling your car on a skid pan, and emergency braking.

    What are you looking to learn? If it's the likes of precision handbrake turning, or J turns, they're relatively simple once you have a safe, large area of unused tarmac and the owners permission.

    To get a FIA approved licence you will need to get a rally licence its 350 Euro to do the course then you have to do 4 rallys in a 1.6 or under and then you get your FIA international licence.

    FIA = http://www.fia.com/
    RIAC = the English version of motorsport ireland ( http://www.motorsportireland.com/) ( download all the forms and send them off )

    Can I ask what you need a motorsport licence for? is it a job? as im so applying to what ever job that needs a rally licence...

    There is no such thing as an "advanced driving cert" in Ireland in the context that you are thinking. Nothing thats accredited anyway. The IAM have an advanced driving course, but it is about defensive driving and avoiding accidents to being with. Theres no sliding or any of that lark, just practical common sense stuff. Id' reccomend this for anyone.

    For stunt driving, really Rallying is not the best way to go its expensive (espcecially when you depart the course, and you will!!) and involves the odd handbrake turn, but not that much.

    I think what you are looking for, in terms of comptetion that would benefit "stunt" like skills, is autotesting. Its cheap and great fun.

    The RIAC (Royal Irish Automobile Club) technically doesnt exist anymore, its now called Motorsport Ireland, its the FIA's branch in Ireland. FIA are the main sanctioning body for motorsport in europe, including rallying and F1.
    Check out their website: www.motorsportireland.com an look for an autotest event in your area. You could voulunteer to marshall at an event and get familiar with the drivers and cars.

    Gymkhana is another option. Not sure what the difference is between it and autotesting myself, maybe someone else can fill that blank in.
