    Hi There

The way I do it is to either do an even number of sets (say 4), two sets leading with the right and two sets leading with the left or else if I was doing 3 sets, one day I would do two sets leading with the right and one set leading with the left. The next time I would do two sets leading with the left and one leading with the right. This would balancing itself out over time.

But you are correct, you must mix up leading with the right and left leg to avoid developing a muscle imbalance.

    Best Regards,

    M

You could also try doing 3 sets of 10 (5 on each leg) alternating after every rep.

What do people think of walking lunges (besides looking like John Cleese ;))

I <3 walking lunges (even if I feel a bit self-conscious lunging across the gym-floor :o ) - find them a great cardio workout as well tbh!

They great, throw a few jumping lunges in once you finish your set to really work those legs.
