Asford GP (Bray Wheelers)

Bray Wheelers host the Ashford GP on 22nd August 2009
The location for the Asford GP will now change from advertised. Due to car racing on the usual circuit in Ashford, the race will now take place on the same circuit as the Christy McManus Road Race, near Roundwood village in Wicklow. Sign on will be the same location as that used for the Christy McManus race, namely the Roundwood GAA Hall, which is just past Roundwood Village.

Also, there is a full underage programme of races, (which is not listed in the Cycling Ireland handbook), with races for U12, U14 and U16. Schedule for racing for the day is as follows:

Race start 10 am
Under 12s, U14s and U16s

Senior 3 and Ladies Race
Sign on: Roundwood GAA hall, 10.30am to 11.30am
Race start 12 noon
Cat 3 and Ladies Race
Distance 35 miles, 5 laps

Please note that as this race is to facilitate C Category riders, NO Vets or Juniors are allowed to race. Also, for safety reasons, parking within a half mile of the start/finish line is not allowed for those taking part, full parking facilities will be available in Roundwood GAA.
