how did you burn the ISO file? did you just copy the iso to the dvd and burn or did you use an application to burn it? the reason i'm asking is that an ISO file is something similar to a zip file with loads of files inside. so you need to use something like Nero or similar to take the contents from the ISO and put it on the disc.

if this isnt your problem then i dont know TBH. i havent tried installing linux

Nah he burned it right as he has got the penguins.

I run yellow dog on the ps3 and I think I had a stall when I was installing but I cant remember how I got rid of it.

Heres a pdf guide for installation.

There are two different ISO's depending on the age and version of your PS3.

    Old ones.

    New ones.

    I do.

I have 6.1 on it but I rarely use it.

Have you ever tried watching a 1080p mkv movie on it? Mine was really clunky and jerky and I couldn't find anything online to help so I just deleted it :(

The performance on the ps3 is quite bad due to it only having 256MB of RAM.
