    Hi everyone.

I'm getting a male springer pup and I'd love to give it a name with a connection to my favourite sport, rugby.

    Any ideas?

Rodge is a good one.. Seeing as your from Limerick also consider: The Bull, Wally and Strings. Maybe Donners?

    How about BOD? :pac:

Yea if your from Limerick and your dog is a SPRINGER spaniel, i think you have your answer!

Or else Gilly, BOD or Heino!

I was thinking Rodge too when I saw the thread but then you'd probably have to explain to people that you named him after Ronan O Gara and not a randy puppet.

    How about Axel? After Foley.
Or you could call him Wally after David Wallace! :)
    Dougie? After Howlett
    Mafi?

Munster players don't really have good nicknames. I think Stringer is just called "Strings" for example.

    Odd Ball

(As Rugby is a game played by men with odd shaped ball)

It cant be too hard to explain - my dog name?, 'oh its maffi, after a new zealand player who player for munster for a few years in the noughties, he was injured a lot, so you mightn't remember him'

Hooky - after the legend G Hook.

I think you mean Christian Cullen, not Lifeimi Mafi. :)
