Anyone out there crazy enough to own a Renault Megane,I need your help. When I put petrol in the car it refuses to start and the message reads, "check injection". Local mechanic is running out of ideas whilst I'm running out of patience. S.

just bring it to a Renault dealer, the labour rates may be higher, but they'll fix it in a fraction of the time, given that they get Meganes with electrical problems so often and they have access to other meganes so can swap parts/test components etc etc.

The local mechanic cant be very good then. Does he have diagnostic equipment?

It'll be much clearer if he does. Camshaft sensor is one option.

BTW If a problm means you are crazy to own a car, I dont think car ownership is for you.

That happened to mine last week -- towed it to the Renault garage in Airside and they had it figured out in 30mins (was a short circuit in the battery that blew a fuse in the injection system)...fix was a new battery and a new fuse, and it's been working fine ever since.
