Utility bill requested for Mymemory order

Has anybody had to provide a copy of utility bill for orders with mymemory.co.uk. as they have requested below?

"Due to increased security for online orders, we ask for proof of address to be sent to us before we can dispatch your order.

This is a standard request on high value international orders, to protect us and our customers from fraud.

Please forward a copy of your bank statement or a utility bill (gas, water, electricity etc.) by email to info@mymemory.co.uk or alternatively by fax to +44 8700 941039."

This sounds a bit O.T.T. to me ,if not a bit dodgy.
By the way the order is for just over £150

Perfectly normal, that's a lot of gear from Mymemory tbh and they don't want it going missing

Moved to Online Buying & Auctions - probably best suited there.

They're just trying to verify that you are who you say you are. Happens often.

You realise they ship from jersey so you will be liable for vat & duty.
They have no shipping charges and I order a lot, so I do mulitple orders, I get up to €80 worth in a day but in 3 packages so I do not get hit for VAT, even though in theory I could be.

They are a legit company, I have been more than happy with them and have bought loads from them.
