    Hey there

I am biting the bullet and investing in Cubase Studio 5 as a proper software package, but I am a wee bit tight on cash at the mo so I was wondering a couple of things.

I found it online for 335 euro which I thought looked fairly ok price wise, but someone was saying I might be able to get it cheaper 2nd hand?

Is that possible to buy such a thing second hand??? Is the license number not already used up???

Also if anyone knows of it anywhere cheaper online or otherwise, pointers would be much appreciated.

    Cheers

Check Ebay. Yeah afaik you can buy the license off the original owner.

so here's a curious scenario ... that just might work ... and be legal ... (if circumstances allow) enrol in a short music technology night course (ideally one that includes something on Cubase [but it's not essential]) which quite likely entitles you to a student discount (academic price) on Cubase 5 ... and then you save money with the option of some (hopefully) interesting tuition into the bargain.

no promises on this but its worked for me with bunches of software in the past and I'm cool with it. When it pays for itself I trade up at full retail.
