    Picture the scene:

Youv lost everything, not even a car at your disposal,....no prsi contributions so no doll money....only the roof of your kind mothers home over your head.....and an extraordinary will to suceed in business again.

You have €3,000 in the bank.....what business would you set up in? and how would you make it work?

Seriously everyone should just put themselves in this situation for 5 mins and think what they would do?

    Register a company

Look for a outlet space in a busy shopping centre, about 8ft * 8ft, located near where kids from secondary school go for lunch, basically somewhere with high footfall

Agree to a 6 month lease, with deferred payment for the first month

Buy 3 blenders, and a load of cheap ass sweets and fruit

    Make a load of smoothies

    Opening day, give free samples

Would cost in the region of 500-1000 to set up properly...

    ROI in approx 3 months

Can't take a lease or even register a co as you've lost everything, no money in the bank.

Firstly, keep in with your kind mother, as she is going to be providing your business with a free base of operations.
Next, what market are you going to go after?
What is your area of expertise? Have you any contacts that might give you some business?

As a quick source of funds, log onto Sainsburys website, check out what deals they have on offer. A quick check today shows stuff like Radox hand soap at 0.80p (lets call it a euro for simplicity). Price in Tesco, 1.99. Surf washing liquid £2.49 tesco in ROI €7.48
I would probably rent a van from Enterprise, fill her with diesel, cost so far approx €120 (Or can you get a loan of a car?)
Then head to the North. Not sure of your location so cant say where is most cost effective for you to go to.
Buy €1500 of stock including soap, washing liquid and razor blades (a 50% saving when bought in NI)
Then when you get home, find out the location of the nearest car boot sales, and drive to it and start selling at a 25% mark up on your purchases.
    And Repeat!

Now you have a steady income, something to keep you busy, and you can plan how to use the skills you have to your best advantage

I think the OP just meant he wants to suceed again, thats all...the phoinex thing doesnt have to be taken that seriously like......

If it was me id just use my contacts from the previos business to get business in things like painting/decorating ect ......though that might also prove difficult....hmmmm

    You've did this eh?

Unless you want to look like a spanner, you would need a lot more than 500eur.
