Lidl FTO, channel numbers changing. Help

I have a Lidl FTA installed since last January. Set-up was easy, and sound and video quality is excellent. What I have noticed is that every month the channel numbers change. This is really getting my back up. Last month listed all the channels in Favourites but again something happened yesterday and the system appears to have reverted to a Favourites list pointing at the 19.2 East satellite and not the 28.? East sat.
To rectify I have to reset the system and rescan for the channels and everything now works. But I have to now list and reorganise my favourites.
Anybody else having this problem or am I doing something wrong?? Any pointers would be appreciated.
    Cheers
    Dave

All free to air boxes including the Lidl and Aldi ones have to be rescanned often the only free boxes that dont are the proper Freesat/Sat4free. Free to air boxes are not just for the English speaking channels their transponder frequiencies change.

    Thanks Scaller,

I understand that I may have to rescan to find new channels but why would the channel number change eg Film 4 was programmed/tuned to CH2 then during the first week or so of the month the channel numbers change automatically and now film 4 is on ch54. Any ideas?

Any channel can be moved to any number. the thing is once a transponder or pid change the channel will not be on the same number. when film4 moved from ch2 to ch54 want was left on ch2. it's just the joy or pain for people that are using free to air boxes to watch english channels from Astra2/Eurobird1 satellite. Or maybe in your case you could have a problem with software in your receiver it,s probably a Silvercrest/Comag/Porty receiver you have.
