I am investigating the alternatives to Sky for premiership football. Can anyone recommend good P2P software that will run on a G4 Powerbook ?

    Thanks

I use sling on my powerbook, find the video a little choppy compared to my windows laptop..could do the job if you already have sky at home..

Cheers malcolmplex - by far the best streaming experience I've had. Finally feel like UPC's 20 meg connection isn't being wasted by crappy choppy vids.

Has anyone found any specific tweaks that improve streaming or any good P2P programs that work well on Macs. Sopcast is regarded as the best but will only work on mac with a lot of messing around.

i find veetle works brilliantly on my connection when connected straight into the router and i then output to my LCD screen via DVI and watch it that way. Works fine on the wireless connection but just that little bit better on direct cable connection.

Veetle doesnt seem to have any premiership matches.. Just to highlight what this guy is looking for... Also looking for a good streaming sight for games as I think its a crime that not only do we have to subscribe for sky digital, then setanta sports, now we have to subscribe to ESPN to watch some of the games this season. I think its a complete joke the way things have gone.

I agree Linked. Ah the days of being in Hong Kong when every single match was live on TV. Fair enough you have yaps like Warren Barton commentating but I don't mind!

Now we have to pay outrageous subscription prices. Screw that. I'll just head to the pub whenever I want to see a match. Or just catch it online.

I use Justin.tv and iraqgoals.net (not application software)
Streams are generally poor and cutout a lot but beggars can't be choosers.
