BTEA question, eligible with break in JA over past 12 months

I've been on JA since June last year, just got offered a place in college to continue what I was doing a year ago before getting JA.

I know about the BTEA scheme. Only my problem is as follows.

In January I was offered a months work, maybe more, but the month was guaranteed. I took the job, didn't give up my dole but had it stopped for the duration and was to sign back on after the month work ended.
Work finished, was offered 4 weeks of 2/3 days a week work. Went into social welfare to sign back on as casual jobseekers allowance only to find out my case had been closed and I had to re-apply for JA. It was in March I was signed back on to JA, which is only 6 months ago and there for would not me from BTEA.

Do I have a chance of being able to get onto the BTEA scheme regardless of the 1 month period of not being receiving JA and 1 month of receiving casual JA? I've been getting JA since June of last year afte finishing college.

I don't know if I or they messed up somewhere but had I know that by working for a month and a bit that it would jeopardise something like this I wouldn't have taken it.

EDIT: Thanks mods for splitting thread
